TRIO 3
Trio 3, consisting of Oliver Lake, Reggie Workman and Andrew Cyrille, has become one of the most pointed out groups of modern jazz history as they are breaking the traditional boundaries with their energetic and improvised styles.
Blending all different tunes and sounds of jazz, they are carrying the soul of jazz music to future, being already played and worked with such names as John Coltrane, Mary Lou Williams, Herbia Mann, Art Blakey, The World Saxophone Quartet, Lou Reed, Richard Muhal Abrams and Cecil Taylor. Sticking to their traditional roots, the group is playing a sort of futuristic jazz with different compositions, harmonies and melodies. Setting no boundaries to their own creative style, they will be saluting all jazz lovers of Istanbul while melting the avant-garde, classic jazz, blues, be-bop and various other styles with the philosophy "one for all, all for one".
