He also studied on piano with Mithat Fenmen and Gülay Uğurata; and theory and composition with İlhan Baran as he won the "Prodigy Child" contest in 1977. One of the most talented and famous pianists from Turkey, he is widely known not only as a successful pianist but also as a brilliant composer, a classic music virtuoso and a fascinating improviser on jazz music. With a State Scholarship in 1982, he attended to Music Academy in Hannover and graduated with 1st degree as a solist in 1992. He won several awards in Craydon and Bilbao contests. Besides playing with North German Radio Orchestra, West Palm Beach in America and Lanciano in Italy, he also appeared in concerts in various countries.
