ZAZ, as one of the surprising names of Akbank Jazz Festival which is Turkey’s one of the most long-running festivals, will give an unforgetable concert to music lovers in Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Hall in 22 October 2011, Saturday.

Akbank Jazz Festival, as the host of the world’s most important jazz artists such as Max Roach, Art Ensemble of Africa, Cecil Taylor, Abbey Lincoln, Dave Holland, Archie Shepp, McCoy Tyner, Henry Threadgill, Abdullah İbrahim Trio, Steve Coleman & Five Elements, Stephan Micus, Roberto Fonseca ve Terje Rypdall in our country during these last 20 years, will offer young and successful jazz artists the opportunity to perform, and will prank up the city with jazz via the organization of Pozitif with its program full of surprises this year, as well.

About ZAZ
ZAZ whose real name is Isabelle Geffroy, was born in 1 May 1980, France. Her interest in music began by taking lessons of music theory, violin, piano, guitar and singing in a choir since she was five years old. When she moved to Bordeux, she began to appear on stage with a blues band named “Fifty Fingers”. In 2009, she won the first place in a competiton named “Generation Reservoir” that took place in Paris. In 10 May 2010, she released her first record consisting of the songs she herself composed and sang. ZAZ who won great recognition with her first album that is also released by Sony Music in Turkey, got the title of “The Best French Artist” in France and Europe in 2010.
