Akbank Sanat has printed the Akbank Contemporary Art Map, consisting of information about all the art centers in Istanbul displaying modern and contemporary art exhibitions, and has published it on the internet.

The first issue of the map has been made in conjunction with the 11th International Istanbul Biennial and distributed to guests coming from inland and abroad.

Bringing together modern art places, museums and galleries in Istanbul, Akbank Contemporary Art Map will be updated regularly and distributed free of charge in different parts of the city.

Giving art lovers a chance to reach all kinds of information faster, more easily, and taking the developing and growing art medium in Istanbul to the international arena, the Akbank Contemporary Art Map:

  • Consists of information about 80 places that exhibit modern art in Istanbul from Kartal to Maslak in its first issue.
  • Will be printed as 50,000 copies and can be provided from more than 500 places in Istanbul such as museums, galleries, hotels and bookstores.
  • Will be avalable on iPhones to show the nearest art center to the iPhone user in the near future.
