AKBANK 6TH SHORT FILM FESTIVAL - PRE-SELECTION FILMS HAS BEEN DECIDED
Akbank 6th Short Film Festival will take place between March 1st and 11th, 2010 and the pre-selection films have been decided. This year, 396 films have applied to competition and non-competition sections of the festival.
The pre-selection judges, cinema writer Emine Yıldırım, producer Nadir Öperli, Akbank Short Film Festival director and filmmaker Selim Evci, have assessed and selected 30 competition films- 20 fiction and 10 documentary- to be screened as "Festival Shorts".
This year "The Best Dramatic Short Film" will be chosen by the Dramatic Category Jury Board- film writer Yeşim Tabak, director Özcan Alper, actress Özgü Namal, Sabancı University Associate Professor Hasan Bülent Kahraman and Akbank Art Center's Director Derya Bigalı.
"The Best Documentary Film" will be chosen by the Documentary Category Jury Board- Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty Director Bülent Vardar, directors Savaş Güvezne and Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun, documentary photographer Altan Bal and Akbank Art Center Director Derya Bigalı.
Following the evaluation process, both the Best Dramatic Film and Best Documentary Film will be awarded with 7,000 Turkish Liras.
