KIND OF BLUE

Miles Davis's legendary album "Kind of Blue" has been honored for its contribution to jazz music by U.S. Congress.

  • By the world-renowned jazz master Miles Davis, the legendary album "Kind of Blue", has been given an "honorary" award for its contribution to jazz by U.S. House of Representatives. For the 50th anniversary of the album's release, The House of Representatives passed a draft for the album as a "national treasure" and for Davis's album to be honored, which was accepted by the entire consensus of 409 members. The draft is to protect and improve jazz and U.S government is taking all the appropriate measures. The recording label, Colombia Records, which released the album recorded in the spring of 1950 in New York, is expecting copy of the draft to be sent.
  • The famous American trumpet player, who got famous when he was 32 years old, accomplished bringing few jazz masters together in an old church. The record ranked number 12 in the 500 list for the best records of all time in all kinds of music by Rolling Stone magazine.
