Mezra Ezidiya

Documentary / 27' / DV / Colour / 2009

The Ezidis, who keep alive one of the oldest religions in the Mesopotamia region, have undergone great suffering because of being different from other peoples in these lands where they were born and where they live. The religion, which is naturalist and peaceful due to its relationship with nature, its belief in the afterlife and its attitude to good and evil, is approaching the end of its existence in Turkey because of the emigration to Germany and to other countries that took place in the 1980s.
