born 1976 in Pyskowice, Poland; artist,, digital comics author and designer; lives in Gliwice. Academic teacher at The Branch Faculty of information technology of Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology in Bytom, Poland (specialty: New Media). Since 2003 cooperates with Piotr Szewczyk in the field of new media art.
Piotr Szewczyk
born 1974 in Jelenia G³ra, Poland; multimedia artist, designer and architect; lives in Gliwice. Academic teacher at The Branch Faculty of information technology of Polish-Japanese Institute of Information Technology in Bytom, Poland (specialty: New Media). Since 2003 cooperates with Malgorzata Jabloñska in the field of new media art.
Synopsis
The Metka movie is a directorial debut of two polish artists and designersâ€"Malgorzata Jabloñska and Piotr Szewczyk. The film is an animated music video for the song Metka (A Tag) performed by The Complainer & The Complainers (feat. Artur Rojek). The animation focuses on the globalization and mass production problems. Visually, the animation reveals a number of references to the masterpieces of cinematography, especially Metropolis by Fritz Lang.
