Acoustic Discoveries (Ages 6-10)
Workshop Coordinator: Doğa Ünyaylar
Time: 16:00 - 17:30
In this workshop, children embark on a journey into the world of sound! Through soundproof boxes and speakers created with recycled materials, they explore the relationship sound establishes with physical environments.
By designing their own “listening boxes,” children experience both environmental and electronic sounds and observe how different materials insulate sound. During this process, they are introduced to simple electronic circuits and turn the practice of listening into a discovery. The works produced at the end of the workshop turn into a small exhibition. Placing the listening boxes on the table, the children invite the audience to lean their heads and listen to the sounds inside—thus establishing a new bond between sound, matter, and the body.
