Acoustic Explorations (Ages 9-12)
Workshop Facilitator: Doğa Ünyaylar
Time: 14:00 - 15:30
In this workshop, children embark on a journey into the world of sound! Through sound-insulated boxes and speakers made from recycled materials, they explore the relationship between sound and material environments.
By designing their own “listening boxes,” children experience both environmental and electronic sounds while observing how different materials insulate sound. Along the way, they are introduced to simple electronic circuits and transform listening into a practice of exploration.
At the end of the workshop, the produced works turn into a small exhibition. Children place their listening boxes on tables and invite viewers to bend down and listen to the sounds inside — creating a new connection between sound, material, and the body.
