In this artist talk, Başar Ünder will present selected works from their sound-based practice while exploring historical and conceptual frameworks that have shaped their approach. Through projects such as S-Untitled, ASCII ESCAPE, and Amplified Doormat, the talk will highlight how their work navigates both digital and physical domains. Central to the presentation will be themes of silence, modes of listening, and audience engagement, alongside reflections on influential ideas and moments from the history of sound art.
About Başar Ünder
Başar Ünder is a composer, sound artist, and academic based in Istanbul. He is currently pursuing his PhD at MIAM (Center for Advanced Studies in Music), Istanbul Technical University. His work explores the spatial, temporal, and relational dimensions of sound through installations, film scores, interactive pieces, and experimental electronic music. His projects have been exhibited and published both in Turkey and internationally. He also teaches courses on sound design, game audio, and creative sound technologies at Bahçeşehir University.
