World Symposium on Choral Music
Date: 25 – 30 April 2023
The World Symposium on Choral Music (WSCM), which is the flagship event of the International Federation on Choral Music (IFCM), will take place in Istanbul this year under the sponsorship of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry for Culture and Tourism.
From the USA to Spain, from Indonesia to Canada, the symposium will bring together the best choirs of the world and renowned expert speakers in their field from 25-30 April.
This event, which will showcase performances by invited choirs and choral conductors, and presentations by experts from 28 countries, will be the first large gathering of choirs in many years due to cancellations over the recent pandemic.
Concerts, workshops, sessions and presentations will take place for the enjoyment of music enthusiasts and music professionals, mainly in the Atatürk Cultural Centre (AKM) and in beautiful historical venues of the Beyoğlu district reflecting all styles and traditions of choral music around the globe.
