Creating Situation and Psychophysical Action - II
Facilitator: Erol Babaoğlu
Time: 15:00 – 18:00
This workshop explores the transformative impact of external influences and environmental factors on internal action in acting. Concepts such as “atmosphere,” “energy,” and “external force” are experienced through the actor’s body and mind, investigating various sources of dramatic situation creation on stage.
The actor is approached not only as a being moved by inner impulses but also as one activated by external pressures and environmental forces. The bodily responses to elements (water, air, earth, fire), spatial atmosphere, and invisible external forces (social pressure, time constraints, natural phenomena, etc.) are studied.
In this psychophysically supported process, evocative elements are used to stimulate unconscious creative centers. The resulting improvised scenes evolve into spontaneously designed materials and form initial sketches of the chosen character. Each participant ends the process by writing a personal text and biography of their role, turning the acting research into an individual narrative.
