Contemporary Art and Ecological Experiments
Production Workshop for Artists
The learning program, which will examine the relationship and contradictions between contemporary art and ecology through the production practices of different artists each month, aims to introduce young artists to contemporary works and diverse perspectives through the concept of "material."
In this program, which will progress both theoretically and practically, we will explore a different artist each month, focusing on the materials they work with, their material selection process, and the inspiration behind it. Participants will engage in experimental productions using the selected material, participating in the artist's creative processes. The series will examine the journey and various production practices of the material within the context of art history, through the lens of political ecology and eco-materialism. We will investigate the nature-human relationship through contemporary art productions and explore the possibilities of creating and transforming with ecological materials together.
* Each workshop in the program is designed as a four-session series and requires attendance on all four days.
* To attend the program, visit the detail page of your desired workshop and complete your registration by clicking the "Register" button on the page. Registration for each group opens one wweek before the event date, at which time the "Register" button will become available.
