Akbank Short Film Festival, which has created a festival culture that encompasses art lovers from all ages for 19 years, with the aim of encouraging and promoting new productions, supporting upcoming filmmakers who contribute to the national cinema scene, announces the ‘Forum Script Competition’ finalists and ‘Perspective’ section films.
There have been a total of 2,237 short film submissions from 71 countries to the competition sections of the Festival, which creates an effective platform in the field of short films in Turkey and will be held both physical at Akbank Sanat venue and online this year, during its new dates May 2-12 2023.
As a result of the preliminary selection committee evaluations, 8 scenarios were determined as finalists. The scriptwriters who made it to the finals will make presentations to the jury members, actress Merve Dizdar, director Emre Kayiş and actor-playwright Berkay Ateş during the festival. In the "Perspective" selection of the 19th Akbank Short Film Festival, there are 49 successful short films from Turkey and different parts of the world.
