AKBANK SANAT IS 30 YEARS OLD
It has been 30 years since the first day we set out to support the development of contemporary art in Türkiye. In 30 years, we have reached art lovers of all ages, established strong ties with both them and artists, and made room for artists from different disciplines.
While we continue our adventure with the mission of being ' the place where change never ends', we have expressed the love of art in us with our activities, sometimes loudly and sometimes with strong silences.
In addition to being a 30-year-old art institution, we have also had many events that we have brought to our country and that have grown with us. Akbank Jazz Festival, which enabled us to take our first steps and opened jazz to the city, is in its 33rd year, and Akbank Short Film Festival, which makes room for short-length productions in the country's cinema, is in its 19th year.
We want to fit art events from different disciplines into each year. We host more than 700 different events a year, from exhibitions to contemporary dance performances, from jazz concerts to seminars, from talks to children's workshops, from film screenings to children's theater performances
Going beyond the boundaries of the city, we come together with young people with our events spread across university campuses in Türkiye. At the same time, with the 'Digital Art on Campus' project, we are bringing a special digital art exhibition and side events to the campuses. We have worked hard to bring together the old and new works of the art ecosystem with our contemporary and energetic structure that brings together different disciplines and pass them to future generations, and we will work even harder to produce more. We sincerely thank all lovers of art and artists with whom we have crossed paths in our 30-year adventure.
In our new age, our wish is the same as always: "To continue to bring artists from different disciplines together with lovers of art...” Because art brings together, shapes, embraces, and makes people love.
We wanted to make all lovers of art a part of this celebration. With this excitement, we celebrate our 30th anniversary by sharing the performances and works of artists from different disciplines.
