Authentic Anatolian Project is a hybrid music project, nourished by Turkish folk songs. The child of this project was Sakın Ağlama, an album recorded at MDM Studios of Ulus Müzik, later mixed in the States, by the legendary drummer Dave Weckl (The drums of the eponymous track of the album was played by this master of fusion jazz). The mastering was done by George Whittey, a pianist and composer, who is the holder of the 2014 Emmy “composer of the year” award and several Grammy Awards. Sakın Ağlama was released in 2013 from Sony Music label for the taste of music buffs, with a personel including Eylem Pelit on bass guitar, Ercüment Orkut on keys, Çağdaş Oruç on tenor saxophone and Volkan Öktem on the drums, while featuring the Jazz-Soul-Funk singer Brenda Berin as a vocal. So, be ready for a concert, which will make you feel Anatolian music in your soul and jazz in your blood.
