Ayşe Tütüncü "Song Project"
Ayşe Tütüncü has released various albums with Mozaik, Piano Percussion Group and her trio, as well as composing music for various films and plays and creating projects that combine music with social issues. She will be a guest of the 34th Akbank Jazz Festival with her “Song Project”, performing compositions she has made since 1985, most of which are rarely played and mostly unrecorded. Ayşe Tütüncü will be accompanied by Ezgi Daloğlu on wind instruments and backing vocals, Baran Say on double bass, and Nihal Saruhanlı on drums on stage. Tütüncü’s message for the performance is as follows: “This repertoire, in which we will perform my songs, spans a spectrum in terms of both time and style. This spectrum includes compositions I have made at various times, starting with the oldest ones from the Mozaik period and continuing with some theater-like and some jazzy ones. Ayşe Tütüncü “Song Project” will be at Yeldeğirmeni Art Center on September 29.
