Didem Kara Sarıoğlu graduated from the Department of Plastic Arts at Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2002. Completed Master’s thesis " Joseph Beuys and His Art as a Biophilic " at the Department of Painting at Marmara University, Institute of Fine Arts in 2004. Completed Ph.D. thesis "Richard Long’s Ambivalent Tendency to Nature in His Art Works" at the Department of Painting at Marmara University, Institute of Fine Arts in 2012.

She started working as a research assistant at Işık University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Visual Arts in 2010, and has been continuing her academic studies as a lecturer with theoretical and applied courses at the same institution since 2015.

Didem Kara Sarıoğlu is Head of the Department of Visual Arts, Işık University.
