Oya Daglar Macar graduated from History department of Marmara University in Istanbul /Turkey. She is holder MA and PhD from the Ataturk Institute for Modern Turkish History of Bosphorus University in Istanbul. Her books are War, Epidemics and Medicine in the Late Ottoman Empire (1912-1918) (Haarlem, Netherlands 2008), Balkan Savaşlari’nda Salgin Hastaliklar ve Saglik Hizmetleri (Infectious Diseases and Medicine in Balkan Wars), Beyaz Rus Ordusu Turkiye’de (The White Russian Army in Turkey, with Elcin Macar) (Libra; Istanbul 2010). Oya Daglar Macar’s profession is about medical history and social history of the late Ottoman Empire. She is a member of Turkish Society for the History of Medicine. Oya Daglar Macar already works as Professor in the Political Science and International Relations Department of Istanbul Commerce University.
