Once upon a time, the places and people of entertainment life in Beyoğlu.
After graduating from DTCF Theater Chair, he worked as a lecturer in the same field. After leaving the university, he worked in advertising and screenwriting, publishing, editing, radio programming. He took part in the dramaturg staff of the Istanbul State Theatre. He is still working as a freelance researcher and writer. Since 1990, more than thirty books have been published on topics such as theatre, cinema, and the history of daily life. His latest books, İstanbul Songs, Bir Şehir İstanbul ki, were published. Akçura has been the curator of various exhibitions as well as taking part in many projects as a consultant. He continues to publish his articles in magazines and websites.
