Contemporary Art Discourses

Depending on the relationship between aesthetics and art, it will be emphasized how contemporary art should be interpreted today, how it acts under the conditions of the subject, and how it differs from traditional humanism philosophies.

Emre Zeytinoğlu (1955, İstanbul)

He graduated from Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy in 1980. Making productions in different genres such as exhibitions, books, magazine-newspaper articles and radio programs in the field of art, Zeytinoğlu also makes television documentaries on archaeological settlements. He gave lectures at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Marmara University.

Some of his books published to date include The City's Labyrinth or St. Louis (2021, Literature Pub.) The Darkness of Art (2020, Espas Pub.), Art, Some Things and Criticism (2017, Corpus Pub.), The Power of Impotence and Art (2014, Detail Pub.), On Art. Inappropriate Comments (2008, Context Pub.), Sports in Sleeping Bags (2004, Telos Pub.), Art's Collaborations (2003, Context Pub. ve 2016, Belge Pub.).
