Born in Ankara, Çağıl Kaya sang in the TRT İzmir Choir in many concerts, later on, studied musicology at Dokuz Eylül University and finished her master’s degree at Istanbul University’s Music Department. Meanwhile she stepped into professional music life, and was invited to many festivals in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. She has been the bandleader of the projects “Çağıl Kaya Band”, “bir şeyler eksik” and “Çağıl Kaya & Moda String Trio”. Her debut album “bir parça ay biraz kuş” was released in 2014 from A.K. Müzik. And now, she is back with her second album, “şimdilik her şey yolunda”, a melting pot of what she has learnt from the cities she lived in and the musicians she worked with, adding into these the concepts of diversity and chaos, coating all with her dreams. A wizard of rhetoric on stage with her theatrical gestures and startling vocal improvizations, Çağıl Kaya, in this concert, will present songs by other famous Turkish singers, as well as her own songs.
