Cass McCombs is an urban poet from California, who prefers telling his stories effortlessly. Although his music is a combination of rock, blues, folk, psychedelic, punk, and country, all of these genres in harmony actually serve as a means to highlight the lyrics. Having released seven albums and an EP, the musician’s last album of 22 tracks includes quotes from the anti-authority dialogs of a little child. The critics praise Cass McCombs’s music, saying “he speaks about the two-faced ways of human sensibility in a calm and mysterious way”. Carrying his interaction with various visual artists to the Internet, McCombs seems to be willing to leave traces in the listeners’ lives by sharing a font that reflects his character, along with his lyrics.
