Jazz Listening Club is a gathering series that turns listening into a shared practice of reflection and conversation. In this session, Zeynep Oktar invites us to follow the idea of “surprise in music”: those moments when a track suddenly shifts course, when a tiny rhythmic move relocates the entire feeling, when a melody opens an unexpected door.
The event unfolds in two parts:
In the first part, we listen to a selection curated around the theme and talk through the games, associations, and narratives these pieces create, moderated by Doğukan Şayan. In the second part, we open the conversation to the room by listening to a few tracks suggested by participants and reflecting on them together.
Rather than a technical music talk, this is an intimate, participatory evening shaped by what music evokes and the stories it lets us hear.
