Jazz Clubs Night: Dilan Balkay
Istanbul-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Dilan Balkay has been playing the trumpet since the age of nine. A constant contributor to the alternative music scene in Turkey, she has participated in numerous concerts and album projects. Since 2018, she has been performing with the band Dolu Kadehi Ters Tut, playing trumpet, keyboards, and providing backing vocals. Since releasing her own music in 2019, Balkay has put out several singles and collaborations, and received acclaim for her 2021 debut solo album KUYU. She has performed at various venues and festivals both in Turkey and abroad. Currently working on her second album, Dilan Balkay will take the stage at Bova on Tuesday, October 7 as part of the Jazz Club Night concerts at the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival.
