“Once Upon a Jazz” is a workshop, moderated by Sahne İstanbul, in which children listen to jazz pieces, transforming what these pieces trigger in their imagination, into paintings or clay/play dough images. In the next step of the workshop, the children build a single story, making cross-connections among their paintings and clay/dough images, finally acting this story, using the quintessential element of jazz, which is improvisation.
The first session of these two workshops (each with a duration of 90 minutes) will take place on November 11 for the age group 7-9 years, while the second session will take place on November 18, for the age group 10-12 years. In each workshop session, attendance is limited to 15 children.
