Legendary Okay Temiz, master of drums and percussion, will share his musical and life experience with four talented musicians from France, Morocco, Algeria and Switzerland. Each artist will bring some songs and musical material from their own, flavored by their own cultures and will arrange them for the band format. This quintet features one violonist from Morocco, a very young and talented french-algerian trumpet player, a swiss double-bass player, and one of the prominent swiss jazz pianist and composer.

Abdel Aziz El Achhab, born 1967, violin. Teacher and Director of Arabian Music Festival of Fés and Casablanca. He used also to work with crossover projects in Asia and India. Shems Bendali, born 1996, trumpet. Got his Master of Arts in Jazz Performances with special price at HEMU Lausanne. He already leads his own group, composes and played in clubs and festivals in Europe. He is considered as a rising artist of his generation. Patrick Perrier, Born in Switzerland, professional musician since 1986, Patrick first studied at Swiss Jazz School Bern. His skills allow him to be a perfect electric bass player for funk, rock and jazz bands. Patrick collaborated with Sandy Patton, Claudio Roditi, Michael Von der Heide, Elisabeth Caumont, François Lindemann and Patrick Moraz. Sideman on more then, 100 CDs Bass teacher at Ejma Jazz School Sion and at Montreux Conservatory. François Lindemann, born in 1950, piano, composition. Numerous concerts and festivals all over the World, as Detroit, Hong Kong, Paris, Montreux Jazz Festival (10 times since 1975) Producer of several original bands as Piano Seven (7 Steinways with 7 pianists) and many multi-cultural bands of ethno-jazz. Played with greats as Daniel Humair, Carla Bley, Curtis Fuller, Alvin Queen, Erik Truffaz, Eddie Henderson and Robin Eubanks.

No need to present Okay Temiz, born 1939 in Istanbul. Master of percussions, still active, toured all over the world with his band Oriental Winds. Teacher at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory.

The purpose and concept of this band CROSSWINDS PROJECT is to present a musical show based on original songs of each player, tied by improvised solos and duets sequences, giving a feeling of a musical journey from Europe, via Akdeniz to Turkey.
