People who work, study or are curious in the field of dance feel the need to nourish themselves from various sources. The lack of written sources and written production means a record that cannot be kept and a memory that cannot be created in Turkey. What could be the reasons why writing about dance is so far away from watching and producing dance?
The aim of the "Writing Dance" talk, which is the first session of the "Dance Talks: Towards Better" series, is to ensure the visibility of dance writing in Turkey, in parallel with the emergence of Kineo Magazine. In the talk, dance writers who produce persistently and consistently despite the narrowness of the medium will discuss the needs in dance writing while sharing their experiences in this field.
* “Dance Talks: Writing Dance” planned to be held on the 1st of February has been postponed 18:30 on Tuesday, to the 20th of February. Participants who completed their registration may attend this event on the 20th of February with the same validation code. For the postponed date of the event, we will also have 50 extra quota. Registrations will open 1 week before the event date (13.02.2024, at 18:30) for users who had not been registered before and the "Register" button will become visible then.
* Participants who have completed the event registration and received their invitation are kindly requested to be at the venue at least 15 minutes before the event. The doors will be closed at the event starting time.
