Mouth Trash (Adult Workshop)

In the workshop facilitated by Merve Dündar, we will explore gender-biased language patterns and social prejudices found in everyday conversations, drawing from our personal experiences.
Sometimes, we speak without being fully aware of the words we use, and other times, those we interact with fail to recognize the implications of their statements. Perhaps we find ourselves saying, “I knew it, a woman driver,” or “men don’t cry,” or we hear someone commenting, “Is that how a proper young lady should act?”
We invite everyone to the “Mouth Trash” workshop to reflect on the jokes, idioms, and gender-biased expressions we’ve learned, internalized, and normalized.
Together, we’ll reflect, raise awareness, and discard these patterns into the “Mouth Trash” as a step toward transformation.
