Dance Workshop: Elena Valls

Elena Valls class aims to deeply research of the human anatomy as well as to create a space for the inner deepening of the participant. Elena studied Kung Fu in Taiwan and loves to explore the fighting technique to create dynamic and release. Her class consist of martial arts, floor work, endless spirals and conditioning the body to its fullest ability. The workshop includes different topics such as liberating the thought, taking inspiration from the knowledge of the moment and so on.

About Elena Valls:

Elena Valls Garcia is a native from Madrid, Spain. Graduated from SUNY Purchase in New York from the Conservatory of Dance in 2011. Miss Valls had the privilege of studying dance and Kung fu at Taipei National University of the Arts in Taipei, Taiwan. She is a two time alumni of SpringBoard Danse Montreal. Elena has worked with various choreographers like, Maura Morales, Etienne Bechard, Kyle Abraham, Shen Wei, Manuel Vignoulle, Antonio Brown, Andy Noble, Huang Yi, Johannes WieIand, Idan Sharabi, Korhan Basaran, Gregory Dolbashian, Samuel Pott, Augusto Soledade, and Astrid Von Ussar. Elena was rehearsal director for Nimbus Dance Works in Jersey City U.S.A and has re staged works by Korhan Basaran and Huang Yi. She is currently freelancing and teaching through Europe. She was featured as a Guest teacher on the hit TV show “Fama, a Bailar” in Madrid, Spain. Elena is passionate about connecting the human expression of physicality to bring awareness throughout the body and mind.

The event is for professional dancers.
