Enji

Born in Ulanbator, the capital of Mongolia, singer and songwriter Enji blends her homeland’s musical traditions with elements of jazz and folk. In May 2025, she released her fourth studio album Sonor, under the Squama label. Her songs explore questions of identity and belonging through metaphorical language, vigilant, and always hopeful. Just like in her previous albums Ursgal and Ulaan, the tracks on Sonor have a fluidity that makes them difficult to categorize within a specific genre. As a guest of the 35th Akbank Jazz Festival, Enji will take the stage at Salon İKSV on the evening of Saturday, October 4, performing her latest songs as a trio alongside bassist River Adomeit, and guitarist and co-composer Paul Brändle.
