Since the beginning of his career Enrico Rava has followed a path paved by former jazz masters and lead others down the road of revitalized jazz tradition. In the Enrico Rava Tribe Project, Rava enriches traditional jazz music by using innovative ideas and recruiting young talented musicians to play in his band. Pianist Giovanni Guidi, previous recipient of The Best New Talent Award by Musica Jazz, and Gabriele Evangelista, a young bass player, are among the new artists participating in the project. In this concert Gianluca Petrella, one of the world’s best trombone players, and drummer Fabrizio Sferra will join Rava in a performance that will yield a complex piece of music with rich aesthetic insight.
