Ankara in My Sketchbook (Ages 7-12)
Workshop Coordinator: Merve Kireçtepe Salihoğlu
Time: 15:00 - 16:00
In this workshop, children get to know Adnan Turani's life and artistic approach, examining his works to discover his use of color, line, and form. They draw inspiration from the artist's approach of reinterpreting reality through color and shape. They then take on Ankara's architecture, streets, nature, and daily life through their own perspectives, transforming them into abstract forms. They create their own interpretations of Ankara using colored paper, paint, and printing techniques. In this way, an artistic tradition from the past comes back to life in today's Ankara, through the children's own original view.
