Ferit Odman “Dameronia With Strings” Feat. Terell Stafford
A member of the young generation of Turkish musicians, Ferit Odman has released three albums so far with exceptional recording quality which created a steady fan base of audiophiles as well as international jazz critics and listeners. His latest album - dedicated to one of the most important composers of the bebop genre, Tadd Dameron – was adapted for a string sextet by the versatile arranger David O'Rourke. The album, analogue-recorded at Bunker Studios, New York, and reproduced in vinyl to capture the closest possible reproduction of the live sound with a limited release of only 1,000 copies, was deemed praiseworthy by jazz critics. American trumpet player Terell Stafford – who shared the stage with the likes of McCoy Tyner, Christian McBride and John Clayton – will make a guest appearance in this concert.
