The masterclass aims to help dancers become balanced, flexible, authentic and aware of their abilities. The intensive floor work in the masterclass aims to help achieve strength, coordination and softness in the body while performing the movement.
The class will be built from a physical and dynamic perspective, focusing primarily on developing orientation in a three-dimensional space, aiming to teach and develop new skills for dancers, including acrobatic turns and tricks on the floor.
It will be a multifaceted training that explores open coordination systems and gives new perspectives to the participants, trying to keep the body free, natural and open to all dance styles.
About Svetlin Travis
Svetlin Travis, a versatile choreographer and dancer from Amsterdam who combines classical and contemporary dance training, will be the guest of the foreign choreography workshop. The choreographer, whose cross-relationship between light, movement and sound stands out as her signature on stage, developed the '3D Release' technique with the combined effects of Floorwork and Cunningham techniques in contemporary dance. Having studied Classical and Contemporary Dance after a comprehensive theater education, Svetlin's personal artistic signature is based on the cross-relationship between light design, movement and sound.
