Bursa Landscapes Inspired by Hale Asaf (Ages 6-9)

Akbank Sanat Children’s Workshops at Nilüfer Pancar Deposu!
In this workshop, children are introduced to the life and artistic vision of Hale Asaf, examining selected works from different periods of her career. Through discussions on her use of color, approach to form, and the cubist influences in her paintings, participants discover the artist’s unique perspective. They also learn about the historical context in which Hale Asaf lived and how she reflected traces of Bursa in her works.
After this exploration, the children reinterpret today’s Bursa through Hale Asaf’s artistic lens — reimagining its architecture, streets, nature, and everyday life using cubist forms. Working with colored papers, paints, and printing techniques, they create their own cubist compositions inspired by Asaf’s style.
* The event will take place at Nilüfer Municipality’s Pancar Depot in collaboration with Nilüfer Municipality.
