What's Inside? (Ages 7-12)
Workshop Coordinator: Merve Kireçtepe Salihoğlu
Time: 15:00 - 16:00
What lies hidden inside a person's mind? Can thoughts, memories, dreams, and images be seen from the outside?
In the What's Inside? workshop, participants transform the concept of a portrait from a mere representation of a face into a space for mental exploration. Using collage techniques, they revisit their portraits through different layers, translating the thoughts, feelings, memories, and images within their minds into a visual language. In this work, where each layer creates a new meaning and a new image, children explore the relationship between our inner world and the face we present to the outside through art. The workshop invites participants to make the invisible visible and to transform the complex, layered, and personal world of the mind into a unique visual narrative.
