İdil Naz Dönmez and Rüzgar Yıldırım, winners of the 2023 Nardis Young Jazz Vocal Competition, will be on stage at the 33rd Akbank Jazz Festival.

İdil Naz Dönmez, born in Istanbul in 1999, graduated from the Linguistic Department of Boğaziçi University in 2023. Her musical adventure began in high school and continued with her participation in the university orchestra and jazz choir. Besides getting acquainted with jazz, during this time she developed her skills in the genres of soul, fusion, R&B, and funk. Today, she performs with her own quarter and continues to work on her own compositions and productions.

Beginning his artistic career with dubbing, acting, and music, at the age of six he was accepted as a part-time student into the Istanbul University State Conservatory for violin and studied there for three years. Forming a strong bond with the guitar during the pandemic, he was accepted again as a part-time student at the Istanbul University State Conservatory to study his new instrument with Cem Küçümen. As a high school student, he was accepted full-time into the Guitar Department of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University’s State Conservatory to work with Ozan Sezener.
