Playing with Illustration
Time: 15:00-19:00
In this workshop, the participants will select a game genre (RPG, Fighting, MOBA, Beat'em UP, Platformer, etc.) and determine a world and visual language for it. Then, they will craft an 'In-Game Scene' related to this game and create its illustration. Intermediate-level digital drawing skills are required.
Murat Kalkavan is an illustrator and artist born in Istanbul in 1983. He graduated from the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts and has since worked on various illustration projects for advertising agencies, brands, and publishing houses. Additionally, he has created children's books and served as an art director for multiple independent game projects. Kalkavan's illustrations showcase his unique style, using vibrant colors and humorous elements to bring his world to life. He combines different techniques and characters to create his art and continues working from his studio in Skopje.
Required materials: Computer + Drawing Tablet or iPad + Procreate
