ANGELIKA NIESCIER - SELEN GÜLÜN

Saxophone: Angelika Niescier
Piano, Vocal: Selen Gülün

Selen Gülün and Angelika Niescier met during Şevket Akıncı's Take the A.I.D Train project. There was a musical spark between these two artists who had never heard each other and never knew each other before. Two days later, Niescier was a guest artist in Gülün's Women's Matinee project. Mutual interaction and playing styles were a sign that both musicians were indispensable for forward-looking musical coexistence. The musicians who will meet in the scope of International Jazz Day will show different aspects of jazz in their original compositions.

German saxophonist Angelika Niescier, who has won many awards for her CD productions, has been honored twice with the German Record Critics' awards (with sublim III and NYC FIVE albums).
