Composer, jazz pianist, and music producer, Marcin Masecki will attend to the festival. Even though he is 32 years old, he participated in more than twenty albums with many groups, received many awards including “Best Solo Performer” at Jazz Hoeilaart in Brussels, and the first prize at the International Jazz Piano Competition in Moscow. Masecki does not confine his creativity to any one genre of music and his style oscillates between jazz, classical and experimental music. The artist is recognized as a performer of avant-garde and pop music, and isn’t shy to exhibit his versatile musical identity with “wild improvisations” during his concert performances. This concert project is organized as a part of the 2014 culture program that celebrates the 600th year of Poland-Turkey diplomatic relations, with the cooperation of two festivals; Akbank Jazz Festival and Jazztopad Festival.
