A vocal, song-writer and poet from the city of Alexandrette, Jehan Barbur graduated form the “American Culture and Literature” department of Bilkent University. With 5 album-full of songs, she won the hearts of Turkish listeners. Besides, she wrote music for movies, theatres and TV series; penned articles for the OT magazine and was the author of Baba Öyküler, a special collection of true-stories. And with her book Çatıdaki Çimenler, Sen’e Yazılar, she entered the world of literature. Now the 27th Akbank Jazz Festival will host this sophisticated lady of music and literature at Moda Sahnesi, where she will be, again, the star of an unforgettable night, singing songs from her latest album Evim Neresi.
