Hungarian Short Movie Selection

Time: 19:00

1. Meditation at Dusk (Meditáció Alkonyatkor)

Hungary, 2023, No Dialogue, 7’27’’

Director: Judit Erdélyi

Life is about actions. Do these actions really fill our life? What else could be even more important for us? Through the eyes and dreams of a cat we can search for answers to these questions.

2. Oliver, the Giant (Oliver, az óriás)

Hungary, 2022, No Dialogue, 8’14’’

Director: Júlia Lantos

Oliver, the giant lives on a little planet. In his perception, the whole world is his playground, where he can do what he wants. While he is living his trivial life, the little humans become preoccupied with another matter of greatest importance: building a sun clock so they can connect with the universe. This fully disturbs Oliver's life. Starting with the growling sound of the universe, the appearance of a big shadow, he recognizes his own pettiness, feels doomed, and throws himself into space.

3. Amok

Hungary, 2022, No Dialogue, 14’20’’

Director: Balázs Turai

After losing his fiancée and his good looks in a freak accident, Clyde must confront his inner demon.
