Mehmet Uluğ Gecesi: I.M.C. Trio

While remembering Mehmet Uluğ, freedom becomes the first thing that comes to jazz trumpeter İmer Demirer’s mind. He always remembers with admiration how Uluğ invited everyone around him to freedom, curiosity and creativity. Imer Demirer, who will take the stage with his new project I.M.C Trio at the Mehmet Uluğ Night held by Akbank Jazz Festival every year, is coming to share his music and feelings with the audience. Demirer's musical career that started at the Istanbul State Conservatory in 1976 livened up after graduation, he met jazz musicians such as Cem Aksel, Ilkin Deniz, Can Ayer and started to work with them. Over the years, he has collaborated with many leading musicians such as Ali Perret, Emin Fındıkoğlu, Erol Pekcan, Selçuk Sun, Tuna Ötenel, Neşet Ruacan, Mahmut Yalay, Ateş Tezer, Elvan Aracı, Selim Selçuk, Nükhet Ruacan, Nilüfer Verdi, Nükhet Aruca, Aydın Esen, Can Kozlu, Ayşe Gencer, Can Ayer, Oğuz Durukan, Önder Focan and Deniz Dündar. He has recorded many albums as a sideman and in 2009 he released his album “You, Me & Char” under the roof of Pozitif Muzik after being invited by Mehmet Uluğ. On this meaningful night at Babylon, after I.M.C Trio, P.D.K (Ali Perret Trio) and Aydın Esen will take the stage.
