METAVERSE: NEW MEDIA, NEW ERA

Moderator: Gözde Mutluer

Speakers: Can Büyükberber, Ecem Dilan Köse

In this seminar, metaverse concept and the possible new striking universes and experiences that it enables will be discussed with Ecem Dilan Köse and Can Büyükberber. The metaverse is becoming highly popular, and for good reason: it provides an amazing platform for developing one-of-a-kind experiences and brand-new realities. Our session will introduce you to the concepts of the metaverse and why they are becoming so important in how we communicate and create art, as well as how you create.

We will be talking with two artists about their work and how they have incorporated the new virtual reality concept into their works.

* This seminar is for free. Participation is limited to 120 people and the entrance invitations can be obtained 1 hour before the event from Akbank Sanat Info Desk. Events will be held in Turkish.

In her effort to make sense of the world and the universe; Ecem created an artistic approach that encapsulates the interplay of similarities between organic textures and digital data. Her holistic style breaks down artificial distinctions in information processing as she carefully interweaves digital and natural data to process it as a whole.

She heralds a new world of knowledge where the rigid fragmentations of duality fade as humans reach out to their inner core and unveil the long-omitted code of unity. Arguing that the future can be compatible with human nature with the integration of technology and organic materials, Ecem deals with the subjects contrive with by examining the present, future and historical processes.

As an artist that defies artistic classification's narrow boundaries, she has been expressing her creative energy in many fields, digital art installations, AI, VR, sculptures and conventional artwork, audiovisual performances.
