An impressive combination of styles, ranging from Gypsy swing to authentic Balkan jazz, to light jazz-rock is what makes multi-awarded guitarist Mladen Pecovic’s music is so unique, communicative and fit for contemporary audience. His authentic performances showcase jazz standards as well as his original pieces, which carry the feelings of his inner journeys and observations of the world around him. Change of seasons, passion and symbols of time come together in perfect harmony. Pecovic so far has been awarded first prizes in international competitions such as Guitar Art Fest (Serbia, 2011) and Omis Guitar Fest (Croatia, 2012). His performances with guitarist Kanacki as the acoustic guitar duo Pecovic/Kanacki received remarkable success at jazz festivals and programs. Also holding a busy concerts schedule with over sixty shows per year, Pecovic is coming to Akbank Jazz Festival as his next exciting spot, in accompaniment with Kanacki.
