Creative Producing Workshop: Yamaç Okur

A workshop that will touch on how a producer handles and develops a project, project presentation preparation, funds and co-productions.The workshop is organized for both young producers, those who want to be producers, as well as those who plan direct or produce their first films.

Yamaç Okur studied Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici University in Istanbul. He is one of the founders of acclaimed Altyazi Cinema Magazine. He worked at various positions at Bogazici University Mithat Alam Film Center between 2003 and 2013 and contributed the institutionalisation of the Film Center. He served at the executive board of Mithat Alam Educational Foundation between 2008 and 2013. He is one of the founders of Bulut Film established in 2007 together with Nadir Öperli, Enis Köstepen and Seyfi Teoman. Bulut Film became a very prestigious production company. His films as producer were very successful at the international festival circuit. Being one of the founders of New Cinema Movement in Turkey, Yamac Okur actively participated to the Istanbul Film Festival Meetings on the Bridge as one of the members at the Advisory Committee between 2008 and 2013. He served as one of the members of Support Committee for Feature Films at the Ministry of Culture between 2013-2015. He had been the coordinator of the first edition of Antalya Film Forum, co-production and project development market of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. He is a Board member at the Films’ Producers’ Association (SE-YAP). Since March 2015, he is working as an executive producer in Ay Yapim, one of the leading production companies in Turkey.

The number of participants for the workshops to be held on the Zoom platform as part of the 18th Akbank Short Film Festival is limited to 100 people. It is important to register at info@evcifilm.com 24 hours before the event time in order to register for the events to be organized via Zoom.
