A workshop where experienced writer and director Deniz Akçay will talk about the foundations of scriptwriting as well as sharing her knowledge on the field.
About Deniz Akçay
Deniz Akçay was born in Izmir in 1981. She studied Cinema at Ege University, digital filmmaking and editing at NYFA in London. Since 2000, she has been working as a screenwriter in many television series, as a consultant in various production companies and as a screenwriting instructor in educational institutions. Her first feature film Köksüz, which had its world premiere in Venice in 2013, received awards at national and international festivals, including the Best First Film at Istanbul FF, the Yılmaz Güney Award at Adana FF, and the Best Screenplay.
She received the best screenwriter award and an Emmy nomination for the TV drama series Istanbullu Gelin, which she wrote in the 2017-2019 season.
