Serge Bromberg, the founder of Lobster Films in Paris, is a silent film superhero: he salvages lost classics and curiosities of cinema from attics, flea markets, and other serendipitous places; then teams up with archivists, foundations, studios, and festivals worldwide to restore these films (often in his fully professional laboratory); and finally through his Retour de Flamme (Saved from the flames) presentations, he personally presents these as a true showman, playing the piano and narrating the films. This program features discoveries he recently made in the archives, including the colored version of Voyage dans la Lune by Melies, with its original narration.
